Funeral Details: A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 14, 2023 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Cardinal Golf Course (North Hall), 2740 Davis Drive West, King, Ontario L7B 0G7

Christopher Antonio Mills

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Chris Mills on July 28, 2023. Chris was a loving husband to his wife Catherine and a devoted father to his children Claire and Marcus. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his large extended family and friends both near and far.

Chris was born in Oracabessa, Jamaica and cherished his years growing up there before moving to St. Catharines when he was 11 years old. He was always so proud to return home for vacations and share his beloved “Lovely Spot” with his family.

Chris’s passions included food, wine, hospitality and all things to do with golf. He enjoyed a successful career in the restaurant industry as General Manager in a variety of locations. He lived up to his childhood nickname of “Foodie”, by cooking, caring, and spoiling his family and friends with unforgettable meals. Nothing brought him greater pleasure than being able to take Claire and Marcus out and enjoy a round of golf together.

A celebration of life for Chris will be held Saturday October 14, 2023. Visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Cardinal Golf Course, 2740 Davis Drive West, King, Ontario L7B 0G7 in the North Hall.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Chris’s memory may be made directly to Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital or Canadian Cancer Society in support of Colon Cancer Research.

Arrangements entrusted to Peaceful Transition York (2-15236 Yonge Street, Aurora) and condolences may be forwarded through www.peacefultransition.ca

Although we are all heartbroken, we know that Chris would not want us to cry. So, instead we will eat and drink in his honour and remember the wonderful husband, father and friend that he was. May his memory be a blessing to all who loved him.

Many condolences to Chris’s family and beloved friends. He had a contagious smile and laugh to follow. Myself and staff @ the Turf Lounge shared many wonderful work days together along with some work outings which helped educate us on food and wine which was his passion along with always trying to better our work environment.
    You will be missed.
    Blessings above xo

I worked with Millsie in the early 90’s, I just found out about this yesterday. It’s so sad, he was a great guy and you may often hear that about people when they have passed but this guy was just special! I know when I ran into Chris I didn’t get a handshake I got a hug. The picture at the top of the page is perfect, I never saw him not smiling and the smile never changed. Just a real, legitimate guy, the type of person you want to be around. My condolences to his wife and kids, his family and friends he will be missed by all he touched on this leg of his journey. see you on the other side Chris

Chris and I went to both high school at West Park, he was a year behind me, and we were in Cadets together which included being in the band together he played the snare drums and was amazing at it.
He was one of the greatest guys you could ever want to meet and call a friend.
He always seemed to be happy and wanted those around him to be happy.
I really respected him and I am sorry I lost contact with him after high school and cadets.
My deepest condolences to his family and close friends.
    Chris will be missed.

Chris was an inspiration to many people. His emotional maturity and friendly spirit were second to none. I recall several of us dining downtown with Chris at the helm, and being so impressed with the cool collected disposition with which Chris carried himself. His knowledge and sharing of wines and the pride and care he had for his family and friends is inspirational to this day…
