Tammy Simpson, a cherished wife, devoted mother, loving daughter, caring sister, and a true friend to many, passed away on July 31, 2023 after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. She was 49 years old.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Wade Simpson, who stood by her side throughout her journey. She was the adoring mother of Branden and Alexis, who were the lights of her life.

Born to Robert Martin and the late Cheryl Martin on November 6, 1973, Tammy brought joy and love to their lives. She was a dear sister to Robert (Marsha), and an aunt to her niece, Daisy. She held a special place in the heart of her surviving grandparent, Leo Montmarquet, and was predeceased by her loving grandmother, Mae.

Tammy's marriage to Wade was a testament to their unwavering love and commitment. They celebrated 24 years of marriage and spent 31 beautiful years together, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Throughout her life, Tammy was the epitome of a family-oriented person. Her family meant everything to her, and she dedicated her weekends at ball diamonds, volleyball courts, and the hockey arenas. When she wasn't there in person, you could often find her wrapped up in a good book, enjoying quiet moments in her hammock at the cottage, or trying her luck at the bingo hall.

Professionally, Tammy dedicated her time and energy as a manager at Jack Astors restaurant, where she made a positive impact on her colleagues and patrons alike.

Tammy's family would like to express their gratitude to the compassionate and dedicated medical team at Princess Margaret Hospital, as well as her home care nurse, Angel, and palliative care Dr. Morris, who provided exceptional care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Tammy's memory to Princess Margaret Hospital www.thepmcf.ca , Hospice Simcoe www.hospicesimcoe.ca , the Canadian Cancer Society www.cancer.ca , or a charity of your choice.

Tammy Simpson's legacy of love, resilience, and dedication to her family and friends will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

I’m am so sad to hear this news. Tammy was the most positive and upbeat person you could ever meet. She was beyond proud of her family. She talked endlessly about the successes of both Alexis and Branden. Wade, I’m sure your heart is broken. She was a true to gem to all who knew her. I pray for strength for you and the kids to get through this and cherish the amazing memories you have with her…and there were so many. She was the biggest fan for all three of you.
