A beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and talented esthetician, passed away on July 5, 2023, at the age of 62, peacefully with her loved ones by her side at Hospice Simcoe. Her departure leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Debbie, as she was affectionately known, is survived by her daughters, Jasmyn, and Victoria, and her grandchildren, Wesley, and Hudson. Born on July 5, 1961, in Toronto, Ontario, she was the cherished daughter of Doreen and Anthony Sweeting.

Debbie dedicated over 30 years of her life to building a successful career as an esthetician. Her expertise and warm personality attracted a large and loyal clientele base, many of whom considered her a trusted friend. Her skillful touch and nurturing nature helped create a relaxing and comforting environment for those in her care.

While Debbie's career was an integral part of her life, her greatest joy came from being a loving and caring mother to her two daughters. Jasmyn and Victoria were the center of her universe, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her unwavering support, guidance, and love were constants in their lives, and her influence will forever shape the women they have become.

In addition to her role as a devoted mother, Debbie embraced the role of a proud grandmother with immense love and adoration. Her two grandchildren, Wesley and Hudson, were a source of great delight and brought immense joy to her life. Debbie's eyes would light up at the sight of their smiles, and she relished in creating lasting memories with them.

Beyond her talents as an esthetician and her role as a mother and grandmother, Debbie possessed a multitude of artistic abilities. Painting, crocheting, photography, and sewing were among her many talents. She found solace and self-expression in these creative pursuits, and her beautiful creations will continue to be treasured by those fortunate enough to have received them.

Deborah Sweeting will be remembered as a kind-hearted, compassionate, and loving woman who touched the lives of many through her work and personal connections. Her legacy of love, her big smile, the best hugs, and artistic expression will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Debbie's life will be held on Monday, July 10th at Newmarket Community Center & Lions Hall in Hall 3 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm followed by a walk around Fairy Lake at 8:00 pm in honour of Debbie who loved long walks. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Hospice Simcoe in her honour.

Debbie, you will be deeply missed but forever remembered. May you rest in eternal peace.
