Donald Joseph Wesley Dunn

In great heartfelt sadness at the age of 91, Don passed away at the I.O.O.F. Seniors Home in Barrie.

Born and lived his life in Barrie, later moved to Sandy Cove Acres.  He spent winters in Texas with his beloved wife, June (McFadden) who is deceased in 2017.  They were happily married for 63 years.  Then Don moved onto the Barrington, from there he moved into the I.O.O.F. where he spent his last 5 months.

Don was a dedicated truck driver for many companies.  Loved being on the road.  Don retired in 1991 and spent his time on the golf course, Don and his wife love to travel to the islands and went on several cruises.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Randy (Debbie), Scott (late Denise), Shelley (Rob), Krista (Larry).  Forever cherished and remembered by his grandchildren Tara (Gord), Tyler, Jamie (Danielle), Kerrie (Nathan), Miranda (Ben). Also, great grandchildren Madeline, Owen, Oliver and Olivia.  He will be sadly missed by family members and friends.

At Don’s request, arrangements for cremation has been made through Peaceful Transition.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the I.O.O.F. Seniors Home for their care and compassion during his last moment of life.

Don will deeply be missed but never forgotten.

    I was saddened to hear of your sweet Dad’s passing. I assisted him many times in the Barrington ( SEHC), and he was indeed a lovely man. He was so proud of you all, showed me lot’s of photos of you all and his dearest wife whom he missed so much. I retired a few year’s ago, so didn’t see him this past while…pre covid !!
