Peacefully after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis at RVH.
Beloved son of the late Cecil and Eva Maynard. Predeceased by his brother Dennis. Will be missed by his brother Ken of Barrie and Grant and his wife Tammie of Springwater. Loving uncle to Dennis John, Tiffany and Tyler.
Alvin will be fondly remembered by many friends, family, co-workers and neighbours in Minesing where he resided for 28 years.
Alvin loved the great outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, travelling and walking the trails in the Minesing area. Alvin was a long-distance driver for Gibson Transport in Alliston.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during Alvin’s difficult journey.
Donations maybe made to the Lung Association of Canada https://www.lung.ca/ or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
