Heather, please accept my condolences for the loss of your mother. Although I never met her, hearing you talk about her I feel like I knew her. I’d like to give you this poem;

I Heard Your Voice In The Wind Today

I heard your voice in the wind today
and I turned to see your face;
The warmth of the wind caressed me
as I stood silently in place.

I felt your touch in the sun today
as its warmth filled the sky;
I closed my eyes for your embrace
and my spirit soared high.

I saw your eyes in the window pane
as I watched the falling rain;
It seemed as each raindrop fell
it quietly said your name.

I held you close in my heart today
it made me feel complete;
You may have died…but you are not gone
you will always be part of me.

As long as the sun shines…
the wind blows…
the rain falls…
You will live on inside of me forever
for that is all my heart knows.

A beautiful last message and image of them dancing together again. Truly a wonderful, creative, smart woman who cared deeply for her loved ones. An honour to have known her and worked at Roselawn. Will so miss visits!

Heather, I am so very sorry for your loss. I loved my chats with your mom, didn’t matter where, she always had time to chat. She loved her cats, always concerned for the safety of them, including mine. She’s with your dad now, and I’m very certain wherever she is, she’s definitely smiling!

I am so sorry to hear your loss. My condolence to you and to your family. I remember how much you loved your parents. During the OAS training, you referred to them so many times with love and devotion. You were so close to your Mother. It is such a big loss. Talk to you soon. I am truly sorry for your loss Heather. I feel very fortunate to have met your mum. She was a joy when I was there for your dad. I loved seeing your mum as well. Your parents were very special to me and I feel so lucky to have spent the time with both of them. Your mum was such a sweet lady and I just loved her zest for life and her crazy sense of humour. She always made me laugh and she always made sure I was ok if I needed anything. She was a very kind and caring lady and I will truly miss her very much. Heather- our sincere condolences on the passing of Bev. We both knew Bev (and also Ed) for many years in a professional (healthcare) capacity. Bev was a very warm and and thoughtful person. Her fudge was legendary, as well as her love of her many feline friends. She spoke of you often.

I have so many memories of your Mom and Dad, from special dinners and events held at the Lodge to visiting the Lucky Duck to pet house calls.
Visitors to their home were always made to feel so welcome. In the later “after Roselawn” years, a visit often revealed Bev with multiple cooking projects on the go all at once. She multi-tasked her way through the cooking and the fudge and the cookbook. Both your parents made a visitor feel so at home.
Your mother was strong, always positive about life and so giving. I liked and admired her greatly. It was my honour to help care for all the Sams and the house kitties and the outside feline waifs she took under her wing.

Its with great sorrow to hear of the passing of your mother
who slipped away to join your father in heaven. They will always
be remembered for true Love ,Kindness and Selflessness
to everybody. They (and you) took me in when I had nowhere to go

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your mom and your dad. I used to care for your dad when I worked for care partners. I thought of your parents often after I left my job.
Your mom was always kind to me and you as well Heather and I appreciated that more than I ever said
I enjoyed the time I spent caring for your dad. We had some great conversations.
I’m happy that they are together again.
