Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie with her family by her side, on August 5 th, 2022 at the age of 92. Alice was born in Toronto on July 8th, 1930. She started working at 17 years old as a File Clerk with Excelsior Life, and quickly advanced to Office Supervisor in Barrie and then Windsor. She married the late Ron LeBlanc in Windsor in 1959 and later they relocated to Barrie where she worked at the Royal Victoria Hospital as a secretary to the Hospital administrator and medical staff. Alice was predeceased by her parents John and Susan Sparrow, her husband Ron LeBlanc, and her bothers John and Bill Sparrow. Alice is survived by her daughter Cheryl Sauve, her sons Doug and Greg LeBlanc, her granddaughter Kaitlyn Sauve, her brother Allen Sparrow, and her sisters Hazel Henry, Teen Sparrow, and Sharon Warren. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who dedicated herself to supporting her family. She will be deeply missed by all. As per Alice’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. The family invites you to donate in Alice’s memory to Hospice Simcoe or the Stroke Recovery Association Barrie & District Chapter.
