It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kenneth Allan Bain MacLean, 76, He sadly passed away surrounded by close family at RVH on July 23, due to a stroke.
Born March 1 1945, in Lennoxtown, Glasgow, Scotland, to Angus and Catharine (Bain) MacLean, he lived on Isle of Skye, Scotland till he was 5 then his parents moved him and his two brothers to Barrie, Ontario, Canada, as a teenager he was a Proud member of Barrie Sea Cadets, he graduated from Barrie North Collegiate in 63. In 65 he met Evelyn at Roy Lems restaurant in downtown Barrie, after having coffee he was smitten, he drove her home and after dating for four years on March 22 1969 they were married.
He worked various jobs, including laying cables for, Bell and Northern Telecom through Northern Ontario, he was a Sargent at Burns security and liason with Canadas Wonderland during construction, and in the first year of operation. In 1982 he started working as a Gas Fitter with F wells and son, contracting with various heating and air companies till retiring in 2010 as a member of local 285.
Survived by his wife Evelyn, and three children, Michael, Mary, and Matthew, his Brother Norm. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, his son John, and Brother Peter.
