It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful Mother, Jo-Ann Bernier. Jo-Ann died peacefully in the arms of her children on Friday, January 29, 2021, at age 67. She is survived by her father, David Walsh, daughter Janelle (sep. Tim), grandsons Maxwell and Oliver, and by her daughter Suzanne, son-in-law Rick and granddaughters Andie, Alexandra and Aubrey. Jo-Ann's family made up the entirety of her world. Her life's purpose was to care for others, her girls, her five grandchildren, her Mother (late Zella) who passed only six months ago, her Dad and most of her other family members. She cared for and helped countless families and children during her career with the Children's Aid Society in Lindsay, ON, Family Services of Peel, then as a Treatment Foster Parent in Barrie. Once she retired, she became a Nanny to several families and treated every child as her own. What we will miss the most is our Cheerleader, our #1 Fan. Mom made every event special for us and celebrated anything and everything she could. We would like to extend an extra special thank you to Michelle for all your support. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation are welcomed. Online condolences www.peacefultransition.ca
