Funeral Details: May 26, 2019 from 11 am - 2 pm Shanty Bay Golf Club

Andrew Ross, age 82, died at Hospice Simcoe on April 17, 2019.

Andy was born on November 3, 1936 in Broughshane, Northern Ireland. He lived in Ballymena and Belfast, Northern Ireland as well as Toronto and Barrie, Ontario. He worked as a mechanic, salesman and musician. He was happiest singing and playing guitar and did so for many years in his band, Andy Ross and the Bluenotes. During his retirement, he took up teaching guitar and playing golf.

Andy was a loving husband to Sandy, a dedicated father to Michele (Ken) and doting grandfather to Claire. He was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be missed by everyone.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, upon Andy's request. In memory of Andy, Sandy and Michele ask that donations be made to Hospice Simcoe.

Sandy and Michele would like to extend their deep gratitude to the loving nurses and staff at Hospice Simcoe. Their care and dedication were sincere and unwavering during our time of need.

"Love you more."

Please join us at one of Andy’s favourite places, Shanty Bay Golf Club, on Sunday, May 26th from 11am-2pm to celebrate a life well lived. Andy wouldn’t want anything formal or stuffy, so please join us when you can to remember him, maybe raise a pint or sing a song.
Donations in Andy’s memory can be made to Hospice Simcoe.
We hope you can join us!

Dear Aunt Sandra, Michele, Ken and Claire,
Our deepest condolences on Uncle Andy’s passing. So many memories, all of them fun and funny! (The Big Red Rupp…or…a head full of spaghetti at the cottage…or…trekking through snow up to our knees in dress shoes!) And of course, his music threads throughout each of those memories. Who could ever forget “Ghost Riders in the Sky”, or “Knock 3 Times on the Ceiling” from those Saturday evenings at the Chalet? Uncle Andy’s passions for music and good times were so infectious. There’ll be lots of singing in heaven for sure now!
    Love and prayers to all,
    Cathy and Robert
