MORRISSEY, Patrick Joseph “Pat”
February 14, 1936 – March 28, 2017 Surrounded by family, with the knowledge he was well loved and had everything in order, Pat passed peacefully in the hospital after putting up a good and lengthy fight. Pat will be forever remembered by family and friends for his sharp wit, endless jokes and contagious smile.
Beloved husband of Annette (nee Hill) for 57 years. Dearest father of Cathy Laurence (Brian) and Terry Collins (Allan). Proud and devoted grandfather, cherished by Danielle Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Brent Laurence, Michael Laurence (Kelly). Exceptionally proud great grandfather of Everly and Lylah Laurence.
Pat was the second of five children to the late Fred and Marie Morrissey. Survived by his brothers Jim Morrissey (Elvera), Rev. Robert Morrissey, Peter Morrissey (Carolyn), and his sister Joan Shipticki (Lloyd).
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at St. Paul’s Catholic Church (235 John Street in Gravenhurst) on Monday, April 3rd at 11:00 am. A Celebration of his Life to follow in the Hahne Hall at the PineRidge Community Centre.
