When speaking to friends about our unorthodox extended family I always referred to Jo as my step mother and I refer to you as my step sister because you are both part of my family. When Alexandra was a child she called your Mum JOJO and I adopted this moniker because it was just so cute. JoJo has been a huge part of my life. I believe that she was happy these last ten years after moving to Lakeside and I am thankful for that. She was able to participate in the life of her precious grandchildren. Although I was aware these last 12 months that she was becoming frail I will remember that July 1st a couple of years ago when it was just us girls, a very hot summer day, Megan splashing around in the pool and Emma peppering Jo with questions about her life. Jo was so happy and engaged that day and this is the memory that I choose to keep.
But at the end of the day, you were her shining accomplishment. She did real good!!!

    All my love, Sue

Karen, Paul, Emma and Megan.  I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mum and grandmother.  I remember her as a wonderful woman who lived life on her terms and never apologized for it.  She was so like a mother to me, Bill, Susan and Victor and was so special to my father.  I know that without a doubt she has a place of honour in the Grandmother’s Hall of Fame.  She loved children so much.  I have so many great memories flooding back to me, like dining on her world famous spaghetti sauce, Saturday suppers ending with Creme de Menthe, dancing and of course the inevitable hottsie tottsies.  We were all very lucky to have her in our lives.  May she rest in peace.
