Posted on: Tuesday, December 8, 2015my darling darling Uncle Ron. I thought you would live forever. I loved you like a father. I will miss you so much. You were the funniest man I knew and I’ve lost count of the amount of times you made me laugh. There are two that really stand out. The one where you thought you had something wrong with your eyes, you were talking about seeing the doctor then Ruth realised that the lens had fallen out of your glasses! That’s why you couldn’t see lol. The other was when we were at niagra falls for Neil’s birthday, Carol and her mother in law Lois were with us. You and Ruth only had two drinks and you were worse for wear. You two were hilarious trying to light the candle on the little cake that you bought neil. So many wonderful memories of your trips over here and how you took care of me every time I came over. You made my trips so memorable and I love you for that. Thank you Ron and Ruth. A truer gentleman there never was, you were the most gentle easy going man I ever knew. Never said anything bad about anyone. I loved you for that. You were kind, generous and had the biggest heart. I loved you for that. A massive hole has been left by you and I’m sure many people feel the same. I will miss our phone calls, discussing the weather, talking about the football. You were one of a kind Uncle Ron. Rest easy, I’m sure you were welcomed into heaven with open arms because that’s where you now deserve to be. So much love and respect for you. Love always Tracy xxxx

Posted on: Wednesday, December 9, 2015To the Family of Ron Abbott. I knew him years ago as a friend, and he was a very funny / cheerful person. When I was taking a trip over to England I asked him about how to deal with the money from here and there, and the use of their power supply. Among other things that would be new. He was very helpful to me. Barrie has lost a great chap from the ANAF and a friend to many. Rest in Peace Ron.

Posted on: Wednesday, December 9, 2015Dearest Grandfather, It’s hard to believe the day has come where we say our goodbyes to a great man. A man who shared the same love of sport as I do. Many of the things that interested you and participated in, I took interest as well. Whether it was battling for the next 180 at a dartboard to scoring the next win in the boxing ring, I felt we shared a common ground. I always enjoyed telling you of my progress and accomplishments and often wished you could be there to see the tournaments and give your advice. Our family always looked forward to seeing you on your visits to us and our visits to you. You would always have an adventure in mind and a camcorder and camera in hand to capture the moment. It is because of you that my sister Amy and I were able to explore Prince Edward Island, see Canada’s Wonderland as excited youngsters, and visit Niagara Falls all while captured upon your camera with smiles from ear to ear. You have given us memories that can not be forgotten or replaced and for that you will always hold a special place in our hearts. I have nothing but very fond memories of you and will always cherish your love and generosity. Much love to Ruth and her family, as well as all of my cousins, aunts and extended family. Thank you for being there for my “Grumpa” in his final moments and for your love ans support.

However you were present at the two most important times of my life, my wedding and the christening of my son, Kai. You were a true gent, always made me laugh and though I didn’t know you for long you made a great impression on my life. My visit to Canada with Tracey would not have been complete without your generous nature and stamina! I prey that you enjoyed your life and you are now enjoying a couple of sneaky liqueurs XXX all my love
